• The Red Lion, North Bitchburn.  Good quality modern cooking in a relaxed environment.  It is VERY popular with our guests
• The Colliery Inn, Crook - read our review here.  Good, plentiful pub food
• The Bay Horse, Wolsingham.  Very pleasant pub restaurant offering both bar meals and an extensive a la carte menu.  Entertaining staff and very slightly off-beat.  Fun.
• Blackfriars Restaurant, Newcastle.  One of the oldest dining rooms in the UK, and great for special events and mediaeval banquets.
• Battlesteads Hotel and Restaurant, Wark, Nr Hexham.  The style is primarily modern British but with a smattering of international choices for those with a more cosmopolitan palate.
