gardens, which was recently recognised as the Bed & Breakfast of the Year, at the
North East Tourism Awards 2011. As a small, high-quality bed and breakfast
establishment, we aim to provide a comfortable, welcoming - and peaceful - home
for you to enjoy; and we do GREAT
breakfasts!

Our rooms
are comfortable and well-equipped, all with ensuite facilities, while our home &
gardens offer plenty of opportunity for relaxation - or wickedly competitive
croquet!

love it here. We're proud of our Bed & Breakfast's
green credentials,
 but intensely aware we need to do more. "Green, but

Dowfold House Bed &
Breakfast is in a quiet location overlooking
Crook, with
stunning views over Weardale
as far as the
North Pennines. We welcome
business visitors, tourers, cyclists, walkers, dogs,
horses [NEW] and children. People just keep coming back!
Crook is an ideal,
peaceful, place to stay when visiting the
North East of England. The
City of Durham is a 20 minute drive away and our Bed & Breakfast
accommodation is close to the A68, a major route to and from Scotland.
Newcastle,
Gateshead,
Sunderland and the
Durham Coast are all within easy reach of our Bed &
Breakfast
accommodation, while
Crook acts as a
gateway to the Durham Dales (Weardale,
Teesdale) and the
North Pennines.
