What to Do, Where to Eat, Where to Stay

First, watch the video...  Simon Calder takes a 7½ minute tour round County Durham

Durham from Enjoy England on Vimeo.

In Weardale, The Durham Dales and Northumbria

The Northeast is a land rich in history, heritage and the most inspiring scenery, from Hadrian's Wall to Newcastle's "Blinking Eye" bridge, from the oldest Saxon church in the UK to Gateshead's Angel of the North, from the wonderful wild windswept North Pennines to the delights of Durham.  There's plenty to do, as well as some delightful eateries and (only if we're full, of course) some places NEARLY as good as Dowfold House to stay at.  Just follow the links and enjoy our part of the world.  We're very proud of it.

IF you have any ideas and suggestions as to what else might be on these pages, please do let us know, by emailing us HERE.  We're grateful for any ideas.
